If only
...I could write the way I talk. It's weird, I write down what I think and yet it seems stilted and tacky and FAKE when I read what I've written. Is it a brain thing - those who talk can't write and vice versa? Is there anyone who can talk and write with equal style and fluency?

My new guilty pleasure
Gossip Girl.
I know - season 1 is done and it's a little late to get on this ship but I didn't really have the time to get pulled into a new pit until now. I havent yet finished with Veronica Mars, I have House and BSG to keep track of and with steady doses of Buffy as an underlying foundation - my personal time is creeping into my sleep time! And now Blair, Chuck, Lily, Serena and UES have exploded onto my 15inch screen and refuse to get off.
can't stop now - am going to have to go through the season and by then I'll be hooked and begging for the weekly fix thoughout season 2. I've even gone and started up my almost dead account at TWoP cause I wanted to find out when the fic section would be up. Have found some great stories by gleechild and now I'll need to track her series too!!
There is just not enough time for all of this. I'm just happy I can't write or the fic monkey would really be on my back.

Fascination with Nat "King" Cole
What a voice! It's been nearly 25 years since I heard this tune - and I can remember being a teen again listening to the amazing "Autumn Leaves" and smiling through "walking my baby back home". Such a velvety voice which you can wrap yourself in - they don't make singers like this anymore...
God bless iTunes! Tried looking in the local stores for his albums but couldn't find anything. The "free" stuff online just didnt have the clarity - and then I checked iTunes ad the sound is superb! Picked up 7 favorites and have them on replay the last two days.
Tracked down more stuff from the others but I'm really looking for some great Bing .. or anything else similar to the great number he did with Sinatra in high Society.

the adsense upsell experience
gah! have this dry feeling in my mouth after just completing the entire adsense sign up.
What a downer of a process - the language REALLY makes you think about whether you want to place ads on your site EVER... and if I find out that my site traffic (total of 1 person - me) is insufficient for them to let me place an ad anyway on the site then all those 30 mins of soul searching are wasted.
I wish I hadn't been tempted enough to click on the promo when I edited a post... the deceptively inviting "make money through adsense on your site". SUCKER!! And now I'm going to wait nervously - hoping for the best and most probably will complain if I get it or not.

FINALLY!!! i find out two months late that google updated their blogger widget for mac and its working now.

adi ratatouille
Outdoor cookout featuring steak and stuffed mushrooms with nuts and chopped greens... 'lil bath doing the ratatouille thing with the flavours and the closing of the eyes for the flavours. Feb 9th '08.
